How do I contract propane?
Knapp sends out contract packets in June. If you have not participated before and would like to, please contact our office at (618) 678-2211 to get started!
Are there fees if I run completely out of propane?
If you completely run out of propane, we are required to run a leak test on your propane tank. The leak test will cost approximately $50.00. (Customer must be present)
How far does my propane tank need to be away from my house?
Knapp requires all propane tanks to be placed a minimum of 10 feet away from your home.
How do I read % gauge on my propane tank?
The gauge to read your % of propane is located under the lid of your tank. Simply see what your % reads, and if you are getting low, give us a call. If you need to, you can have a driver show you when the delivery is made. Our drivers are more than happy to answer your questions!
What do I need to do if I smell gas?
If you smell gas, call our office for instruction. If you hear gas escaping, shut your propane tank off immediately and call our office. We will send out a driver to figure out the problem.
At what percentage of gas left do I need to call Knapp to refill my tank?
We suggest that once your tank is around 25%, it is a good time to call to get a refill.
Do I pay when the propane is delivered?
Preferably yes, unless you have made arrangements for a 10 day pay or budget payments.
How do I contact Knapp Propane if it is after hours?
If you need to get ahold of Knapp after hours, you can call our office and there will be instructions for emergency deliveries.
